water chemistry??

Unfortunately it's a pretty useless report as it does not list either calcium, magnesium or alkalinity (bicarbonate). These are some of the most important parameters to a brewer.
 
yeah i didnt see that, but didnt know if i missed that. How could I find this out?
 
Municipal water reports only tell you that the water is safe to drink. If you want to find out your water's chemistry with regard to brewing you'll have to send a sample to a lab for analysis. Ward Labs was my choice. The W6 Household Mineral test is a great deal for $16.50. For $10 more the W5 Household Mineral test also includes iron and fluoride.
