Now that I’ve confirmed my stout is through its primary fermentation (pulled a sample at lunch), I have some confidence posting my first AG. I’ve made this as a PM a lot of times and I’m fairly confident I’ve successfully converted it to AG. The only issue so far, the OG was a little low. But I’m blaming that on the mash tun spigot popping off three times during the mash. I think next time I’m going to wrap some Teflon tape on it and hammer it in with a mallet.

0.75# Special B
0.5# Roasted Barley
0.5# Chocolate Malt
8.5# Mars Otter
0.5# lactose (at 10 minutes remaining)
1.5 teaspoons hazelnut extract at bottling

2oz. Willamette hops, AA=4.6% for the full 90 minute boil.

I infusion mashed for 30 minutes at 145F and 60 minutes at 150F. I mashed out at 168F.

I collected 7 gallons of wort. Boiled 90 minutes and collected 5.25 gallons into the fermentor.

OG = 1.051
FG = 1.013
ABV = 4.9%
IBU = 35
SRM = 37
