I have built a 12.2 conical with the hopper and domed lid from TMS, valves, nipples, elbows washers and lock nuts from McMasterCarr. I bought a few really beefy orings and the lid gasket from MoreBeer.com IPut it all together last night and dumped in a couple gallons of water to check everything out. There was water dripping from between the valve and the conical wall on the upper valve. It seems like the orings arent sealing because of the curve of the conical wall.
For people that have built their own conical, how did you deal with the problem of the curved wall and the orings? Thx
