I am about to learn how to all grain and partial also. First session next weekend.

i have an immersion chiller. Do I have to get a counterflow chiller to do partial grain or all grain?

Nope, In fact I am very seriously thinking of deconstructing my counterflow chiller and converting it into a immersion chiller to save space in my brew day set up

Nope. I use an immersion chiller and it works great on my all grain sessions.

Keep it unless you have money to buy toys, but if you do, I would spend it on one of Yuri's stir plates and some Erlenmeyer flasks.
