damnit, hurt my foot wednesday playing indoor soccer, went to an orthopedic specialist thursday, linsfranc fracture (read: very bad) tore a bunch of ligaments that hold my foot together, and had surgery today. Will be in a non-weight bearing cast for 3 months at least and crutches...so I will not be taking part in any beer-related activities other than drinking for 3 months or so. Have about 25 gallons in carboys that is just gonna have to wait, I'll probably be out of beer by the time I heal.:(

I feel your pain, I'm sorta in the same situation. I can brew just cant drink. You could always hire some neighborhood kid to do the heavy lifting and pay him in beer:D Anyways get well soon.

Surely we as the HBT community could come help with lifting & racking and all that stuff.

Colorado brewers, sound off to help a brewer out. Friends don't let friends lapse back to BMC.

I was going to mention the Yankess thing, but held my tounge.

There are more brewers from Colorado. Sound off if you got a pair, or like beer. Help this guy out. I assume there is some PM'ing going on behind the scenes....

Oh leave the Yankees fan alone they did not even make the playoffs this year...
hahahahahahahahahahaha...sorry had to put that in there.

Sux about the foot man. Get some friends/family to help ya with the brew stuff and tell them you will hook them up if they help. Good luck...

ps Go Red Sox

ASU's running back Ryan"the Train" Torain(now with the broncos) had the same injury. He was out for a while but still got drafted, so maybe so will your beer. If this doesn't make sense, Im druck.

Yeh send me a message if you need help racking and stuff. I'd love to help ya you out if our schedules line up. I'm in Boulder.

I really appreciate the offers of help guys. I do have a backlog of about 50 gallons in my basement, and will get my roommates to help with racking/kegging, so I should have plenty of beer to get me through the winter.

thought some of you might enjoy this...

Jeeezus!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they gave you some nice happy pills for the pain at least.

Did you get any help? If I were in Colorado I would have offerred...I mean any guy who gets hurt playing SOCCER is OK in my book!!!

:mug:

Yeah, got a whole lot of percocet, only really needed it for the first two days after those screws. It doesn't hurt all that much now, Vitamin I (Ibuprofen) does the trick for now, but I take the percs every once in a while...more frequently now that my family is in town :D

I should be ok for dealing with the beer I have. My roommates are more than happy to facilitate their own drinking by kegging a couple batches for me. Brewing would just be too difficult though, all my equipment is in the basement, just too much of a pain in the azz.
