Hey Guys,

I've been working on perfecting a dark ale recipe. Last time I brewed I used 2 ounces of hops. One of Glacier and one of Cascade. I'm brewing it again tomorrow and I purchased 4 ounces this time, 2 Glacier and 2 Cascade.

Do you think that would over kill pushing it a dark IPA? What schedule would you suggest for a hoppy dark but not IPA?

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Recipe needed so that we can look for balance in the recipe. How are you making it dark. Grain or Kettle boiling?

Grains.

I'm at work and don't have the recipe here, but I can post it when I get home.

Heres a rough draft

8 pounds 2 row
1 pound victory
2 ounce roasted
2 ounce chocolate

thats all I can think of now...

Here we go:

8.5 pounds 2-row
1 pound Caramel 40
1.75 pounds Victory
2 Oz Chocolate
2 oz Roasted Barley

2 ounces Chinook
2 ounce Glacier
