I brewed earlier today and everything went good, but this is the first time I've used a 1 piece s-trap style air lock When i put the airlock on i had vodka in itand it was level at the line that goes across the middle. i just looked and now about 6 hours later 2/3 to 3/4 of the fluid has been pushed toward the top.. Am i doing something wrong?

Nope, that is just the pressure in the carboy building up do to the CO2 the yeast are making. You should be good

Yeah, the pressure will eventually build up enough that a little bit of co2 will escape around the S bend and up through the vodka.

I think my vodka is carbonated now because of all the co2 activity--

mine started bubbling once in a while
then once every few minutes
then once every minute
then once almost every second

its at about 1-2 seconds a bubble now -- 8 days since pitching the yeast
