I'm confused. I've made many all grain brews and not had this happen. Normally the airlock bubbles away for a few days but this time I pitched my starter at about 12:00am, went to sleep, went to work the next day and when I got home about 6:00 I noticed hops around the edges of the fermenter so it looked like fermentation happened and was done? I took a hydrometer reading and it was at 1.040 (it started at 1.050). It's been 2 days since and I have not seen any bubbles? Whats up? I used a starter and airerated for 20 minutes with an aquarium pump?

Amazing! I just checked it again and its at 1.010! No bubbles in the airlock for 2 days? where did the co2 go? I know there are no leaks because when I squeeze the fermenter the airlock bubbles. Anyways, I guess I'm good.

guess it just a case of........
