I have a wine that COULD be bottled now or at least very soon. I need to free up some carboys but also want to bulk age this...is there any benefit to transferring this into gallon carboys over just going ahead and degassing and bottling it?

what size is the batch? from what ive read and heard if its 5 gallons its best to bulk age it. Not sure of the truth to this but thats what Ive read.

My general feeling is that its always better to bulk age anyway that way the whole batch ages uniformly. But i suppose it is up to you!
