Hello,

I am brewing an IPA tonight and plan on adding it to a California ale yeast cake from a Stone IPA clone.

My current recipe consists of

7 lbs Pale LME
1 lbs 2 row
1 lbs rye
.5 lbs 30l crystal

I generally do a 3 gallon boil.

So I need some suggestions for hopping this beer; my inventory consists of:
2 oz whole Amarillo and cascade
1 oz centennial pellets
2 oz cascade plug
1 oz whole columbus

Any suggestions for a combination of hops that play well together ?

I would prefer to keep it under 80 IBU's

Thanks

They all work well together.

I'd use a bit of Columbus as your bittering hop (enough to get your desired IBU's).

Then I'd throw a butt load of Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo as a 5 minute addtion for lots of flavor and aroma.

Dry hop with with a combo of amarillo and cascade and send me three bottles.

1 ounce of Columbus at 60
1 ounce of Cascade at 5
1 ounce of Centennial at 5
1 ounce of Amarillo at 5

That should get you to around 60 IBU's

I love hop flavor and aroma so I would do almost the same

1oz columbus @ 60
.5oz Cascade @10
.5oz Centennial @ 10
.5oz Amarillo @10
.5oz Cascade @ 0
.5oz Centennial @ 0
.5oz Amarillo @ 0

You don't have to send me any;)
