New BJCP Style Guidelines add GF

If anyone is unaware, the BJCP recently released new style guidelines. That's right, the first time in 7 years!

They have added a new category. Category 31 Alternative Fermentables Beer. It isn't purely for gluten free but, it is heavily influenced for it. All of the commercial examples are gluten free beers.

I'm hoping to see this category pop in a few competitions soon. This is awesome that the BJCP is recognizing this as its own style.

I liked this l'il snippet from the description in style 31:

.... Gluten-free (GF) beers made from completely gluten-free ingredients may be entered here, while GF beers using process-based gluten removal should be entered in their respective base style categories.

I guess folks were getting sore about GF beers beating out barley based beers
