What style ales do you guys typically make as a "spring seasonal"? Were tryin to come up with a good one and it seems Sam Adams changes there's around a lot so there doesn't appear to be a definite normal spring beer. Any suggestions?

Absolutely I have a suggestion! A good fresh APA is a great choice IMO, I just tasted my spring batch and it is awesome. Here's the recipe if you want. Its a huge hit with homebrewers and BMC lovers... not too mild but not too strong.

I have 2 pounds of willamette so I better make more of this!! You could probably use US-04 instead of coopers, the fruity-ness of either of those yeasts complements the willamette.
FYI: You will need to add this to Beersmith and upscale for larger batches... I brew smaller batches.

Depends on what you're looking for. I like spring beers to evoke the warming weather, to be a look towards summery sunshine. I opt for wheat beers and lighter ales, like Blonde, Witbier, American Wheat, that sort of thing.

Cheers,

Bob
