Hello from Chicagoland!

Hi all!
I recently started brewing about a month ago. First batch was an American Light Ale (figured it would be a good start). Then I started an Oktoberfest which is sitting in bottles ready to drink in about a week or so and now I'm starting my third batch tonight of IPA. I've been reading everything and anything I can about brewing, including this site, for the past month and think I know a lot...yet to be confirmed...I've still got much more to learn.

I like the forum here from what I've seen and figured this would be great to get help if needed. It's also nice to be able to give others help when I become more experienced.

I'm out in Dundee, IL (NW burbs) north fo Elgin.

Wow, seems like there are lots of people around here. I used to live in South Elgin, so I know exactly where that is. Does anyone know of any clubs or events around the area for homebrewers and the like?

There's a club in St. Charles I've thought of joining. I think they care called Silvarado homebrew club. As for events, I don't now.
