It really depend on the OG of the stout. If it's a low gravity stout 1.050-.060 and you are not dryhopping or adding ingredients in the secondary, you could secondary it for a couple week or so, or leave it in the primary a bit longer (3-4 weeks) and skip the secondary all together.
