I'm going to be bottling my first brew in the next 2 weeks or so, and I was wondering about reusing bottles that were originally corked (Corsendonk, Tripel Karmeliet, Don De Dieu, etc). Is it okay to bottle and then just put a crown cap on them?

I want to use them because they're 75 CL bottles (1 pint, 9 oz) so Ill only need to bottle around 25 beers instead of around 50 or so. Since Bottling is supposed to be the worst part, I figured I'd try to reduce it as much as possible.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Some of the larger bottles take a larger, non-standard cap, so check ahead of time. I've been bit by this one.
