Regulator Setting

I just set up my first tap beer system and i need a little help in setting the regulator. Forst of all it is a scottish heave ale. My regulator gauge has a PSI setting on the inside arc and a "bar" setting on the outer arc. I believe I set it to the red outer numbers but not sure what to set it at. Thanks for any help I can get.

If your lines are the appropriate length you should set that regulator to 12psi and be done with it... Should be just fine for that beer... you could even go a little less say 10psi for that style.

Figure out the reccomended carb level for that style of beer (1.5-2.3 vols) and adjust the regulator according to this: http://www.kegerators.com/carbonation-table.php

Forget about it for a week or two to let it carb up and enjoy!
