Well,
My cider has been sittng in its secondary since Oct and I now plan on bottling it this weekend.
After a second look I have tiny / small amount of film on the top.
Is my batch shot? or can I just resyphon/rack and just make sure that my syphon is below the film?
If it was mold, wouldn't it have grown quickly?? and totally covered the top.
It is my first time and when I went from the primary to the secondary I sucked up alot of sediment...so now my secondary has quite a bit of sediment at the bottom. Could some of this have risen?
There is no white film on top..it is closer to a clear film and it is scatterd.

Thanks

Yeah I second what hb_99 says. Taste a sample and see. If it has a sour character then you'll know if something undesireable got in there. At any rate, even if it does have a sourness, some might find it desireable.

From the sounds of it you'd better be on the safe side and drop it off at my place and I'll be sure to dispose of it for you :tank:

On the serious side, as long as it tastes and smells ok you're just fine.
