Does the lift arm swivel so you can swing the grain over to empty it? If so how did you make that & what are you using to lift it.....cable....strap?

The hoist on mine does swing, I took a piece of round pipe, and welded it into a piece of square tubing, to create a dowl pin effect. And added a plate on each end, so the 2 surfaces would glide nicely together. As for the hoist, I use a cheap cable hand winch from harbor freight.

Those swiveling arms are cool, but I did not want to take up welding as a hobby. So, I cheated and bought an electric hoist at Harbor Freight and used a coupon (25% off if I remember correctly). I have a 10gal MT with part of the bottom cut out and then a perforated false bottom over the cutout. The hoist lifts it and I can go spargeless or control my sparge by slowly raising the MT:mug:
