I just got finished brewing an Oatmeal Milk Stout :rockin: It goes in the bottle tommorrow. Can I repitch a Southern Brown Ale on White Labs Irish ale yeast? How much residual lactose can I expect?
Thank you.
Scott

You can repitch just about anything onto anything. That would be a suitable yeast for a brown ale. I can't comment on the residual lactose, but I would imagine it would be negligable. I'd probably just pitch it on top of the yeast cake.

If you were totally worried you could try washing the yeast and transfering it to a clean carboy. Not sure if it's worth all that, just repitch IMO.
