Simple question - but cannot find the answer!

What is the OG of honey? ...and how to add it in BeerSmith?
i.e. In the ingredients page what values should I use for :
Type : should this be sugar or extract
Yeild / Potential : What is the SG / OG.

Cheers,
Haggis

1.035 I believe

Edit: I just looked and Honey was already in my BeerSmith, I did not have to add it so maybe you can download the newest 1.04 version

That sounds correct. mid 30's for gravity per lb per gallon. honey varies a lot...cheap honey may have a lot of water in it...really thick honey has less water.

I'd stick with 1.035 and just be aware that there's gonna be some variance.

Cheers. i was getting confused in BeerSmith. i was changing the amount of honey and the ABV wasn't changing. This was because I was looking in the wrong place! Human error!

I took a picture when we had a lot of honey before it all went to mead.
