My first bottle bomb experience has just happened. What can anyone advise? Its been approx. 1.5 weeks since i bottled, and it just happened today. just now actually! any advise would be helpful. i'm scared to open the box!!

Put on some goggles & move it to a cold location. Once the temperature is down near 40F, the yeast will stop.

got it. thanks. the temp of the room i had the batch in was probably a little warm (i think 70s). will move it now. thanks again

What they said, plus drink it fast! Seriously. You didn't say how much sugar you used, but it could either be too much sugar or an infection. If it's an infection it will eventually ruin your beer, but it will still be good for a little while.

How much sugar did you use?

Another thing you could do is pop the caps and recap it.
