picking this up tomorrow

haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet but for $20 I couldn't pass it up..


I'm thinking maybe a fermentor... I'll have a better idea once I get my hands on it. Its original life was a water distiller.

looks like an old water heater or commercial coffee urn.
If so I would consider it as a hot liquor tank.

I just got it home. It was a water distiller made by durastill

I believe its actually 30 gallons instead of 18 and its made out of 316 ss. I'm thinking it would be a great fermentor... my dad makes wine and was really trying to take it off my hands. Do you think it would be too big for 10 gallon batches?

The rust is where it was sitting on some rusty steal table. The guy was pretty cool he gave me the distiller as well all for $20.
