Hi all,

I have just put my first batch of beer into the fermenting stage and am eagerly anticipating its finish! :mug:

I was wondering though. When I bottle the beer, is there any way to get the carbonation into the bottle without putting a tsp of dextrose in the bottom of the bottle.

I was just wondering because I would like for my friends and me to drink straight from the bottle without having to worry about bloating etc.

Thank you and happy brewing!

We usually homebrew to make great beers and drinking out of the bottle is one way to not get the best out of them. You need a glass, not a paper cup or coffee mug. Yes, I'm a beer snob and you should be too.

Sediment in the bottle just comes with the territory. Pouring a clean glass of homebrew doesn't take too much practice, before long you'll even find yourself leaving a quarter inch of commerical beer in the bottle out of habit.

Ok thanks for your advice everyone.

Bobby M I never want to become a beer snob...It goes against everything I stand for with drinking.
