Are all Pyrex Ehrlenmeyer flasks made of Borosilicate glass? I purchased a 1000ml flask to make a yeast starter and would like to use it directly on my gas stove to boil the DME needed to make a mini-starter.

Will I be OK doing it this way?

Worked for me, but I have only done it once so far.

Some of mine say kymex which I think is also shock resistant borosilacate
glass and some say Pyrex. I have crash cooled both kinds in cold water right off the stove (stove is ceramic top)and had no problems. This is not to say that I don't wonder everytime if this is going to be the time it explodes.
I'd like to here from others who have not broken any.
