Yes it will work. But it's 3/8" OD, which means 1/4" ID. You'll get better water flow, and faster cooling, with 1/2" OD copper tubing. 20-25' should be adequate for 5 gallon batches.
 
i actually bough that same roll of copper i am using it for a couterflow chiller though and my wort will be running through the copper and cold water surrounding the copper.

I just sweated my fitting together tonight and I'll sleeve the copper into the hose tomorrow.

but yeah that 3/8" OD is pretty small to try and use it as an IC

I do partial boils right now which are usually around 3.5 to 4 gallon after boil off. I want to go to full gallon soon when I can afford a new pot. I'm just trying to find a good deal on copper tubing since its around 50 at home depot I was looking somewhere else, thanks for the help though
