I'll be coming to Louisville in October and wanted to find out what are the best breweries and bottle shops to hit up. I want to go to some breweries as well as grab some beer I can't get in NC to take back with me.

Against the grain, apocalypse brew works, bluegrass brewing company come to mind. If you want to drive a bit come across the river into New Albany Indiana and try New Albanian brewing company. They have excellent beers and quite a selection as well. Great food too. Also take a look at lousivillebeer.com they have a few more listed.
