Does anyone know how to get it off? I tried scraping it but some of it is still caked on. The burning plastic smell is horrible during the dry cycle. Anyone else had this issue?

i've done it, but I have waited for the drying cycle, opened that bad boy up and tried to scrape it off. It worked but be sure to wear gloves

Ok so I guess I'll run the dry cycle. I might try some baking soda too...

That is one reason I went with a Bosch, the heating element is not exposed. Not to mention it is extremely quiet.

You can scrape it off or use pliers but you dont want to crack the ceramic on that element. Happened to me once. Just had to suck it up and run a few cycles to burn the rest of it off.
