I was going to brew Jamil's Nutcastle Brown but realized i bought Chocolate Malt instead of the Pale Chocolate. The recipe i believe calls for .25lbs of Pale Choco and was wondering if i subbed the with regular chocolate, would it throw the flavor profile off that much?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You'd probably safe with 0.125 lbs of regular chocolate, but pale choco is generally half to a third the SRM of regular chocolate. Some chocolate malts are a lot darker than others.

I'm sure there's a taste difference between the two as well although I couldn't tell you how drastic. SRM appears to be double that of a pale. I would just use half or so of what the recipe called for.
