electrical questions (conduit needed?) for Brutus

Hi guys - I was wondering if anyone used a conduit on their Brutus. My concern is two part:

1) Will the wires (inside of the steel frame) rub against the semi-sharp edges and possibly short out?

2) Will the heat transferred through the frame melt the plastic wiring along the front right support beam? (going to control panel)

You can get grommets at a local supply house or even an auto parts store.
