After my total and utter failure with my last brewing experiment (see thread, "Is this right?), I am interested in going all-grain. Question, if I have a favorite recipe that uses extract, what is the best way to convert the weight of extract to grain? How many pounds of grain are in 3.3 lbs. of LME?

Inquiring minds...

well, I use .6 pounds of DME to 1 pound of 2 row.

I believe 3.3 lb of LME = 3 lb DME

That should get you started...

Ya, u can use a beer calculator. I think its best to know the conversion for yourself in case you need to make a substitution while at a LHBS.
