Is there a "golden rule" about airing out your primary? I use the Ail Pale and I notice old beer scent after racking my brew. Reason I ask--- I want to empty the primary Saturday morning and brew another batch in the afternoon. Didn't know if I may pick up off flavors from the previous batch.

Any good cleaning tips to speed up the "air out" period?? Other than wash and rinse really well?? I plan to wash as normal then soak with hot water a few times to help cleanse.

This scent normally goes away in a few days but I don't really have the oppurtunity to wait a few days to brew.
