Learn To Brew day, Big Rapids, MI, October 18th!!

BAMM (Big Rapids Area master Mashers) is hosting an early "Learn To Brew" day at Crankers Brewery in Big Rapids on October 18th, from 11:00 am till Approximately 5:00.

There will be Extract brewing, Brew In A Bag brewing, and All Grain (cooler mash tun) brewing being demonstrated.

It's at a brewery, so of course there will be food and drink available.

Come hang out, watch the brewers, ask questions, eat food, drink beer and have a good time!

It ended up being a good time. Had a few people stop by. It was just a bit chilly and slightly damp, but the rain held off almost completely and by mid day it was really nice.

I had a snafu or two with the brewing, but I struggled through and ended up with a batch and a half of Founders Breakfast Stout Clone. The half I may oak and bourbon.

The brewmaster at Crankers smoked up some pulled pork.
