ALways looking accross the pond to see what the "Jones" are doing, I ran accross this.

John Smith's Extra Smooth:

http://www.johnsmiths.co.uk/brands/extra_smooth.htm

"The Number 1 smooth ale in the UK, enjoyed over a million times each day. "

Is "Extra Smooth" an ale style or something? Or is this just new marketing slang on the classic English Mild Ale?

I just got "carded" to enter the bleeding website. And there's not even naked women pic inside. Is it illegal to read about beer if you're underage in England? That's an odd experience, to have to enter a birthdate on a non porn website.

Most beer brewery sites are that way. Atleast, almost all of the ones I've been to.

Extra Smooth means it's on Nitro/pub gas. That's all.
John Smiths is the BMC of English Bitter.
Do not drink this and you are drinking anything like real Ale.
I don't drink it. I'd rather drink water.
