I've brewed this beer twice now for competitions, originally it was done for the Michigan Iron Brewer (they chose Hibiscus & Ginger as mystery ingredients) and later I rebrewed it for Bell's competition and got a top 10 finish (out of 143 entries).

Full write-up and downloadable beer.xml is here: http://inspiredfermentations.com/hipster-ale/

The re-brew of it for Bell's was a tweak on the original, I'm not sure I'd change much at this point really, if you wanted to up the malt backbone (which was a comment in the Bell's feedback) something like Vienna or Munich replacing some or all of the the base malt.

What sort of hibiscus do you use? Dried? Where do you get it from/in what form? Thanks!

Was dried hibiscus like you'd use for tea. You can find it on amazon.
