I've been using a few formulas from various interweb sources to create recipes with american units. Designing Great Beers joins the growing library tomorrow and I'm assuming that will have everything I want and need to beer algebra my little heart out metrically. Any other fans of long hand recipe design?

When I begin the process of putting a recipe together I will usually rough things out manually and when I think I've got a handle on where I want to go I head for Beersmith and put it all together and tweak accordingly.

When I first started I did all manual calculations. I had a pretty sweet spreadsheet made up, so that was cool. Nowadays I use BeerSmith, but occasionally I second guess BeerSmith and whip out the old calculator.
