curious.
i'm planning a single tier (maybe a 2 tier) brewstand here soon. and while my setup for my three tier works wonderfully. i'm afraid i may get a stuck sparge if i'm using a braid and a pump together.

anyone care to share some insight? i'm not wanting to fork out cash for a new tun and false bottom :)

Go for a two tier. I was in your position before I built my two tier, and opinion was not to pump from MLT.

Now I have one pump and pump from HLT to MLT, the gravity to BK, and pump from BK through CFC to carboy.

It works really well. Wouldn't change a thing.
