Some one told me they add a cup of wheat to each gallon of non grape wine they make. Has anyone ever tired this? What would it do?

Nate

I have no idea. That's the first time I've ever heard that. I make 100s of gallons of wine a year, mostly fruit wines but also some traditional grape wines.

I can only think that they're doing it for yeast nutrients somehow.
It'd make me allergic to the wine. Gluten sensitivity.
