hey everyone,

So just pitched a 1.090 OG with a doubling pitching of Safbrew S33. My question is, will double pitching with such a high starting grav significantly increase my chance of blowin the lid? Would it be the wiser of choices to do a blow off tube? I know it is the safest way to go, but I am just being lazy and not wanting to go purchase tubing....that and I'm 7 homebrews deep and it's almost 11pm... but it wont be too late by tomorrow morning...will it? oh and 1 S33 was pitched dry, the other had a small starter for about 30-45min.

Thanks in advance.

Kyle

Yes sir. I made a breakfast stout around the 1.089 OG mark and I pitched 2 packs of safeale 05 into it and the krausen pushed the top off and oozed onto the floor.

Definitely put a blowoff tube on
