I just bottled a small batch of Apfelwein. Bottles were sanitized by soaking in Star san and then placed on a drying tree.

It occurs to me now--Is the star san foam as forgiving for ciders as it is for beer?

Yes it is, the foam is tasteless and won't effect anything you brew up. I use it on Ciders, Beer and Mead with the same results!

OH YA, Starsan is good for anything. I use it as the exclusive sanatizer in my brewery...beer, Wine...MEAD!... I have even used it as a final spritz for Jelly Jars and when canning apple sauce.

It's the Real Deal!
