The Clone Beers recipe for Warsteiner lists these hops:

2 oz. Tettnanger @4.5% AA for 60 minutes
1/3 oz. Hallertau Hersbrucker for 15 minutes

I just noticed that my LHBS has a pound of Hallertau 4% AA for $23.95. Which I can use in the coming months as I will also be attempting a Bitburger clone and then a Märzen.

Since the flavor and aroma are going to be boiled off in the 60 minutes anyway, I was thinking of

2.25 oz. Hallertau @4% AA for 60 minutes
1/3 oz. Hallertau for 15 minutes

I have never had a clone recipie out of the two clone books that were anyway close to what I had intended brewing.

I have since learned to make my own and am satisified that I made the right desision to do it my way.
Still it do let you see some basics of recipie formulation, as any recipies will.
Have you checked out the recipie section here. This site do have some great ones.

There are not as many pilsner recipes here as ales. But, for the Bitburger like pils i will try next, Cat's Bitburger is definitely receiving consideration.
