Does anyone know how you account for the amount of liquid hops absorb, since you must 5x as many?

When you're using wet hops, straight from the vine, you need to use 5-6 times the amount you would normally use. So, if your recipe calls for 1oz...you use 5-6oz. of fresh. Don't worry about the liquid as far as water calculations goes...if that's what you mean.

Good question - that I avoid ;) I use a hop bag for whole hops, then squeeze it dry using a pair of these

There's not much moisture left when I'm done...

Cheers!
