what does "steep" mean? my recipe requires me to "steep" for 15 min?
Toot said:They're probably referring to the specialty grains. If you are going from a kit, they should already be ground, not whole. Assuming this is already done, you just toss those grains in a muslin bag (or a dirty sweat sock for some extra flavor), tie off the end, and let them soak in the water like a tea bag.
