Digital aquatics has a controller for a fish tank on sale right now.

I know it's a bit more than a Love/Ranco controller, but it's pre-wired for those peeps who can't DIY.

The above kit comes with a 4 outlet strip. You can plug four things in and control them, referencing time or temp. (there's also an attachment to hook up a pH probe if you're interested.)

I have a similar one on my fish tank, and it's great.

Programming looks like this:
if temp <75, H-1 = ON
if temp >77, H-1 = OFF
If temp >81, C-1 = ON

H1= heater
C1= Chiller.

I'm thinking it could be a cheapo brew controller as well. SInce you can set time, you could mash and sparge with it. If you had two pumps you could:

Set your time. Say you wanted to mash for one hour and sparge for 20 minutes.
If time > 1:00 then pump 1 = on
If time > 1:10 then pump 1 = off (or however long it takes to drain your MT)
If time > 1:12 then pump 2 = on
If time > 1:13 then pump 2 = off
If time > 1:33 then pump 1 = on

I'm sure there's some other kickass ways this thing could be used for brewing.

Just thougt I'd give a head's up on a good deal.

I'm thinking that you can not heat something as high as 150* F to 175* F for brewing using this temperature controller. This is used as an aquarium heater designed to maintain aquarium temperatures <100* F.

I just shot an email to customer support to see the ratings of the temp probe. I'll let you guys know when I do.
