I have 2 oz Nugget and 3 oz Zythos to use and I'm curious how they would interact. I've never used either of them. If used later, would the Nugget's herbal/spicy flavor counteract the citrus of the Zythos? I saw somewhere that someone said Nugget and Cascade worked well together so it makes me think Zythos may also work well.
My tentative recipe (extract-based) is as follows:
0.5 lb Caramel 80
0.5 lb Belgian Caramunich
7 lbs Golden DME (4 lbs early, 3 lbs late) for a total of 1.060 OG in 5 gallons
0.75 oz Nugget at 60
0.75 oz Nugget at 30
1 oz Zythos at 5
2 oz Zythos dry hop
1056 yeast
The hop additions calculate out to mid-80's IBU, right where I typically make my IPA's.
