When do you add yeast, before or after aeration??
I use two filter stones connected to a 50 gal aqua pump in 23L carboy. It makes a lot of foam.

Your supposed to add the yeast after aeration.
I know though that it can be a pain right after aeration due to foam all the way up the neck.
Aerate and let it sit for a short period to let the foam settle then add is my procedure when this is an issue

I add after areation but I don't see how it would make a whole lot of difference because my areation procedure lasts 2 minutes by pouring back in forth between two bucket fermenters about 4 times. I know White Labs recommends mixing the yeast into the fermenter which this would effectively do if you added prior to areation.
