Ants on my fermenters!

I seriously doubt it. Maybe you have wort running down the sides,& dried to something sticky that they smelled? I wondered if the mice coming in the house that my cat kills are smelling my brewing supplies on the shelf?
That happened to me once, with my apocalypse IPA. I cleaned some sticky wort of the carboy with warm starsan solution and sprayed home defense around the perimeter of the closet. No more ants.
