This is true. We are currently quoting change parts to run both snap and threaded closures using the same capper, as several others already do. So this myth would be that a new/separate packaging line is required to change from crimp to screw caps. Not particularly widespread I fear, nor does it have to do with homebrewing, but if it must die...

Who says that?

You get a lot of people (myself included) that tout 3 weeks at 70 degrees as the baseline for bottle carbing... but that has to do with CO2 production, not dissolving.

There are plenty of folks who have beers ready at 10 days - 2 weeks. Plenty who have beers that take 4+ weeks.
