This is my 3rd batch so I'm venturing out a little. So I bought the brewers best Irish stout and steeped .5 lbs of oats during the brewing process. I was just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on how I can make this the best beer known to man. I took a sip when I did a gravity reading and it was pretty damn close! But the guy at MLHBS said to add vanilla beans? Just curious if someone knows how to make this great! Thanks
Mike

I like to add half of my chocolate to the boil, but it can all be added to a secondary fermenter if you want. Go easy on the coffee though. 2oz. of freshly ground beans are enough to dominate the beer.
