I noticed that this mostly concerning the East Coast but I stumbled on to these two Oregon companies last night. Never dealt with them so no feedback or extra info.

These are my local homebrew shops, and both are awesome to deal with. I've moved around a lot since becoming a homebrew, and these are by far the best shops I've found! Brewbrothers prices are phenomenal, as is their service!!

Brewbrothers rocks. I bought all my malt from them prior to moving too far away... now I have to find a similarly priced place 'round these parts.

Now that I'm ordering the 50# bag, I order Rahr exclusively (from Midwest in Minneapolis). I hit all my numbers, and the beer tastes great....why buy anything more expensive?

As far as I can see from reading this and other threads, the only way to beat the shipping hex these days is to do a group buy, and someone has to be willing to do all the collection, take delivery of the pallet, etc. A recurring hassle for someone.

How is Brew Bros shipping? I don't want to create a paypal acct just to find out.

The shipping doesn't come through paypal anyways. I emailed them a couple days ago to find out about shipping, but I haven't heard back yet. Of course, you're a lot closer to them so it might be worth just sending them an email yourself to find out. There's info about shipping on the bottom of the home page.
