Did I mash too hot? - Mashing NOW

batch sparging. I think my 2nd running was to hot. when I thake the cover off my mash tun it almost smells like burnt hair.

What dose this mean?

empty tun with 21lbs sparge water was 170-175

Yes.. OH SH#T I think I did burn my arm hair. :drunk:

Burnt hair? I'm guessing there might be some roasted barley or black patent in your recipe.
